A “government of the people, by the people & for the people” would have Medicare4All, free college, cancel the college loan debt & raise the minimum wage. A govt that does none of those things is a “govt of a few of the people, by a few of the people and for a few of the people.”

I prefer to describe it as a "government of the people, by the rich, for the rich."

A government of the people, by the people and for the people sounds to me like socialism. And I should know, I am a socialist.

Yup
Our government doesn’t have the resources to help our citizenry, bc it’s not government of the people, by the people, for the people. It is of corporate capital, by corporate capital, for corporate capital. The US military gets our money to protect corporate interests abroad.

With approx 64m Americans on Medicare, 94m with a college degree, and 43m with student loan debt it sounds like your solution is exactly the same as your problem.

Of all the relatively rich democratic countries, the USA has the widest gap between actual laws and policy proposals with strong majority support. Laws that 200,000,000 citizens want are not even discussed in Congress, let alone voted on, by the 435 citizens there.
