A “government of the people, by the people & for the people” would have Medicare4All, free college, cancel the college loan debt & raise the minimum wage. A govt that does none of those things is a “govt of a few of the people, by a few of the people and for a few of the people.”

Cancel college loan debt is a bad idea. I would favor a wide ranging loan foregiveness program. Ex: Teachers working in low income govt school getting govt credit to reduce their college loans.

how can you cancel student debt while not providing free college? if you took out a student loan today would you be expected to pay it back? what about the people who did not go to college because they didn’t want to take a loan? the people who paid already?
