The reason some people laugh at the idea of karma is because deep inside they know that if it exists then we’re in trouble. Better to know that it does exist, that we are in trouble, and that the time to turn around is now.

Quite to the contrary, karma is simply the law of cause-and-effect. It’s inviolable and unalterable, which is why there *is* so much tragedy.

Exactly. I think of Hermetic principles (cause & effect, rhythm, polarity, correspondence...) Also 1st law of thermodynamics: energy can neither be created nor destroyed; only transferred or changed from one form to another. Be mindful of the energy we put out into the world.

This is juvenile thinking. Any justice we see in the world is accomplished at our own hand. It's simply counter productive to believe otherwise.
