The idea that all men are created equal - with the inalienable right to life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness - was a radical idea in 1776 and it’s a radical idea today. We’ve never fully actualized it but the higher purpose of every generation is to inch us closer to the goal

Actually this was an idea introduced by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in 610. Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all men and women, and equality of all races, and animal rights. Women were allowed to vote per Islamic rules back then...so. Glad we are catching up!

Perhaps we have to almost loose something ... before we can really appreciate it ... I hope you'll remain strong over these next few hurdles ... we need leaders that can help us move toward this elusive ideal ... with tenacity ... and Love!

What about women? Could we not update the language and use words like "people". Using gender specific words excludes rather than includes. #AllPeopleAreCreatedEqual
