Strictly speaking, that money already “is” in the economy. What forgiveness would do is unsaddle millions of educated young people to help grow the economy further.

Cancelling college loans is polarizing, as seen in the comments. Let’s look forward and put the responsibility on Colleges to decrease their outrageous costs, on Banks to offer no interest student loans, on State budgets to subsidize State School tuitions.

Why would these borrowers need to free up their student loan payments to help the economy? They can't buy a home or start a business because of the student loan or because of underemployment? The arguments for student loan relief fail to address the actual issue of expensive

No… it ruins the character of the kids who need to fulfill their responsibility of paying their debts. How many of your debts have been paid by the hard-working taxpayers?

We can cancel everyone’s debts for everything. Mortgages, car loans, credit cards etc. would really super put money into the economy and really get things going!
