1/The US military today is less a branch of the government and more a branch of the US defense industry. Government serves mainly to fund their donor-monster, protecting it from interference by those who might question its hegemony.

Yes and the government has unholy relationships with big oil…. I was at Standing Rock with 4000+ peaceful unarmed veterans and watched as they turned tanks towards us to defend oil companies’ profits.And seriously unholy relationships with big insurance and pharma giants as well
