1/The US military today is less a branch of the government and more a branch of the US defense industry. Government serves mainly to fund their donor-monster, protecting it from interference by those who might question its hegemony.

The US economy has to have that spending, otherwise it would be in a never ending recession. Has been that way since the 70's. But we can change our economic system anytime we like, and we don't need to beg anyone to do it either. thevenusproject.com/resource…
