1/ A political prisoner is someone whose personal beliefs or activism - not necessarily any actual criminal activity, except what is drummed up by those who seek to persecute them - lands them in prison.

2/ We’re living at a moment when two egregious examples of political prisoner assault the conscience & citizenship of every American. One is Donziger & the other Assange, both cruelly persecuted for the sin of doing what you’re simply not supposed to do these days...

We don't have Political Prisoners ... do we? ... It's China, Russia and North Korea that have Political Prisoners ... Although ... we do have Guantanamo Bay ... and Julian Assange ... and of course ... Steven Donziger ... So ... I guess we do have Political Prisoners!

Interesting you don’t have people who actually didn’t commit crimes in Jan.6 on your list. While some clearly committed crimes others clearly didn’t and are being held as political prisoners.
