These proposals seem pretty reasonable & compelling to me, even if subject to a certain amount of tweaking in the course of deeper analysis by economists...

“Tweaking by economists” is how we got here. Depends on which economists you’re talking to. We know for instants that the 2017 tax cut will never pay for itself; it wasn’t an economic uplift for anyone except a small percentage of people.

Point taken. I subscribe to a wealth tax. And I didn't mean to imply that your proposal was not well considered. My hedging reflected that I, personally, don't feel I know enough to opine on a specific proposal, i.e. rate or formulation.
