If defense contractors didn’t dominate our foreign policy; and Big Pharma and health insurance companies didn’t dominate our healthcare; and fossil fuel companies didn’t dominate our energy policies, wouldn’t we all be better off?

Real change will either come from the bottom-up - i.e. in a spontaneous, grass roots uprising of all those with no power in the existing system - or not at all.
Why can’t we, the people, dominate politicians? Do we really have power or it’s just an illusion?
