You better believe they will
The Republicans made abundantly clear this week that they’re prepared to get rid of the filibuster as soon as it suits their purposes. They’re playing a game with us. We have to get rid of the filibuster.

The GOP has had control of the Senate up from 2015-2020 and never ended the filibuster. Democrats love the filibuster and recently used it to end the mandate that would have forced care for babies that were failed abortion attempts. spokesman.com/stories/2020/j…

First mover is not an advantage in the case of removing the filibuster.

And Democrats have made it clear they’re not even going to try to accomplish anything they campaigned on.

Exactly. Republicans will run Democrats over with steam rollers the second it benefits them...yet Democrats constantly trying to play nice.

Of course Republicans will. Dems can either continue to sit on their hands and do nothing or fight for people’s rights.

No they won’t. Both parties love it exactly the way it is. They both need something to blame when their plan doesn’t work out! It’s how the game is played. We need to change the rules and either eliminate parties or introduce more parties who will fight for the people!

One must think, not just talk. Imagine the world with a Republican Congress and president with no filibuster. Cmon Marianne you are smarter than this.

Just like Democrats changed manipulated voting laws to fit theirs? Just like used and abused lock downs to drive theirs? Just like them use BLM only during elections to drive theirs? You have no moral high ground to stand on either. Both houses are built on sand

If the Republicans want something ... they take it ... the Democrats need to stop being afraid ... Simply do what you need to do ... and then move on!
