I’ve sat for an hour trying to figure out a polite and elegant way to say that the Democrats refusing to end the filibuster is a big fuck you to the American people.

In that hour, did it not occur to you that there are ONLY 2 Democrats refusing to end the filibuster. And in that thought process, didn’t it not occur to you to mention those 2 by name instead of grouping all 50 together? 🤔

I think you said it nicely.

This is repeating itself over and over ... from guns ... to voting ... to family leave ... and the list goes on and on ... when will the American People ... including those who voted for Trump ... DEMAND ... that THEIR WELL BEING be placed ahead of The Well Being of Corporations?

There is no polite way to say it- but it is true. They think it allows them power- while it takes the power away from the people they supposedly represent. It is an anti-democratic maneuver meant to avert democracy- plain and simple.

Start with, "I'm leaving this garbage party."

Unfortunately we are watching the US move into authoritarian rule in real time, abetted by both parties.

That’s as polite as it gets, Marianne.

Their refusal tells me that the didn’t actually want to “govern” they just simply wanted possession of the gavel.

This wouldn’t be an issue if we didn’t have political parties. Both parties continually put partisan politics over the good of the American people!

48 democrats are poised to end the filibuster, 2 aren’t. 50 republicans won’t - might I ask you to consider pointing your ire in the right direction?
