Justice Sotomayor deserves a lot of credit for her valiant stances these days. She stands strong at a time when SCOTUS has been captured by corporatist forces.

Since Roe v. Wade has been in place for 50 years, gutting it now is hardly respecting precedent. Nor was gutting the Voting Rights Act. Want to throw out any other fancy words?

When we use the word precedent in this context we’re not talking about something that changes. Case law is set. And I’m not presuming anything, just noting the way the arguments are going.
