Giving something for free is not good karma. We need to pay for what we receive in order for it to have real value. This is key for students to learn as they go out into the world and are constantly asked to work for free or for very little.

That’s just it, they don’t. And nothing is Free.
I just wish people would stop saying "free." The proposals so far are for tuition free education at public schools. About half the cost of attending a public college or university is for non-tuition expenses, and there are no current proposals to pay those. Not Free.
