It’s not a radical notion that govt should do what it can to help all of its citizens succeed. With free education and health care plus economic policies that are fair to the working class, people are granted the “inalienable right” to “the pursuit of happiness.”

how do we motivate people to optimize their potential if the government is the provider of food, shelter, health care and an hourly wage that is linked more to their bills than their skills? so much is said about personal rights and so little said about personal responsibilities

"free education and health care" We spend about a Trillion on the military plus extra on war plus CIA/NSA/Fatherland Security... black budgets every year. At no point have I ever heard of these tax payer giveaways referred to as "free."

That sounds all good, but who pays for it. I am not saying for government not to find it through taxes, but then the recipients need to be thankful grateful that their fellow Americans helped them. But that’s usually not the case Americans become entitled instead of grateful.

Consumers shop for things they want, citizens should get what we need - like education, health, economic security.

But Biden is going to help the middle class "make ends meet" with the tax cuts in the BBB legislation. I love how the Democrats brag about doing the absolute minimum.
