A pernicious delusion at the center of a trickle down economic ethos is the idea that the rich are hard-working but the poor are lazy. If anything, too often it’s the other way around.

In the US capitalism used to seem to work because less of the exploitation was obvious domestically. Exploited foreigners were invisible. We should start over with a better economy that houses, feeds, heals and educates all.

The notion of "down" implies superiority- the entire construct of which is artificial and in violation of the spirit of humanity.

The political industrial complex and shielded bureaucracy are happy to siphon billions of dollars from our community only to give it to special interest and waste it on every politicians 'great ideas'. Keep personal and economic strength with the people.

TDE is a well tested economic grift, enriching the wealthy few. Poor people who don't work (but are able bodied & minded) often have other obstacles, such as childcare, & eldercare, lack of skills which prevents them from re-entering the workforce. BBB addresses these obstacles.

Also, once you have substantial wealth, you can outsource a lot of tasks. Poor people have a 2nd (or 3rd...) job at home, cleaning, cooking, fixing things, caring for kids etc. I could work some extra hours if I didn't have to do any of those things.
