Democracy doesn't exist in this country. We need to wake up to that fact.

I agree with most of the comments below: We never really had a Democracy to fail. Also, not putting M4A on the table even during a Global Pandemic that has snuffed out 700,000 plus of our people is a sure sign Democracy never existed here at all.

You never had a Democracy. It was a Republic, but even that ship sailed.

First thought I had was also "democracy has failed", what the people do to wrest back power is the question.

Any “democracy” which relies on an architecture of two, and only two, political parties is NO democracy to begin with.

It will fail, in fact it already has. Our institutions have become incapable of reform, or even basic oversight.
