What happened to raising the minimum wage to $15? There’s currently no place in America where someone can rent a two bedroom apartment working 40 hours a week at minimum wage job. $780B/yr to the military … yet we can’t provide our own people with a way to make a decent living.

Not just working class. Kids coming out of college finding $35-40,000/yr barely cuts it in urban areas.

$15/hr isn't even the living wage anymore in much of the US. That's how long 'the fight for 15' has been going on...

They are calling pandemic-induced price increases "Inflation!!! 😱💀" as a justification for why it would be irresponsible to put more money in the hands of those who would spend it.

It's $1.7 trillion to war-related spending every year. Pentagon is only a small part. Also, real inflation is something like 27%, so $15 with no automatic yearly increases tied to inflation is totally insufficient already. $22-25 would be more realistic to survive on.

I don’t get it either. It would solve so many problems right now.

You can’t even rent a studio apartment on min wage in all major cities where most people live.
