What happened to raising the minimum wage to $15? There’s currently no place in America where someone can rent a two bedroom apartment working 40 hours a week at minimum wage job. $780B/yr to the military … yet we can’t provide our own people with a way to make a decent living.

There's also no place in the US where the consolidation of market forces hasn't created a monopsony or oligopsony in job supply despite antitrust legislation being fully utilizable.

Only promise the corporate Dems will keep... Nothing Will Fundamentally Change! And that’s not a good thing.

They could also take over empty houses and rent them not for profit, but this is 'Murica where we'd rather have >500,000 homeless and empty houses than piss off the wealthy elites.

You know it is oft-cited that capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than any other system in the history of mankind but... what is that definition...and is living above the poverty line in a capitalist society really anything great? compared to starving in filth..sure

Hi Marianne -- Or even a studio apartment -which means no separate bedroom... most places you cannot work w/ minimum wage and have your own place... so for women who are in unsafe situations - this is a BIG problem!!!! Hard to trust again (if needed roommates) after being unsafe!

Who do you think are in the military? Other people's people? Military industry has good paying union jobs making ships and planes and tanks.
