There’s something strange about *celebrating* the fact that we got it together enough to fix our roads and bridges. Shouldn’t that be something that in an advanced civilization you do repeatedly and like clockwork - the way they feed the war machine?

The infrastructure bill, every yr, is more about lining the pockets then roads and bridges.....

A $10 trillion bill widdled down to $1 trillion... and no one is talking about the corruption of it all.

Like SF continually paints the Golden Gate Bridge. We don't celebrate it, we expect it. Both the mindset and the work can scale to the national infrastructure, @PeteButtigieg

You would think so right!

Wait...we got it together enough? Really? You mean our roads and bridges are GOING to be fixed? Don't we have to bicker for months (stretching into years) over implementation, & which social program has to be cut to pay for it? Mark Penn says Biden is too socialist. 😱

Well our government spends more money on the military than it does on education. So that should tell you something.

The BIF is just selling off chunks of public infrastructure to private corporations. Consider an old, rundown hotel that was really nice back in the day. Once that property is sold off as a "franchise", it's NEVER as good as staying at a hotel from the original hotel brand.

And so much of it was privatizing those resources.

It's privatization. Those roads and bridges will be crap and tolled.
