At what point do you/we stop pretending to be surprised and accept the reality that we live in a corporate controlled territory. Not a democracy, not a republic. We have no control, only a place to scream and pretend to make a difference.

Because Democrats don't care, obviously. If they did care, they'd abolish the filibuster, and pass the For The People Act in it's entirety. But they don't care, so conservatives will be allowed to lie, cheat, and steal their way into a permanent majority forever.
