We’re living in two worlds simultaneously: one the fall of Rome and the other a new Renaissance. We need to be both death doulas and birth doulas, helping die peacefully the systems that need to die and helping give birth to a wholly different kind of world.

Why must there be just two? There is probably a multitude of " worlds" vying to be born. Life is never as simple as that.

We are living in neither .. it’s 2021, it’s a hellscape and it has no relationship to Rome or a new Renaissance … this is the death knell of a dying species

Marianne, I am in complete accord on what you say about the present system(s). They are corrupted beyond redemption. Perhaps, I am being tone-deaf but I don't as yet perceive any Renaissance
