People say if we don’t change quickly we could descend into another Dark Ages. I think people will look back on this as having been one. An advanced technological era in which desecration of the earth and a massive arms industry is the bulk of your economy *is* a Dark Age.

The fact that more people have died during this pandemic than the pandemic of 1918 is mind boggling. With all the scientific advancements and technology, it says a lot about the state of humanity.

I heard it described as a Digital Dark Age and find that apt. We have amazing interconnected gadgets while our minds are stuffed with trash, because we are ill-equipped to fight the fire-hose of falsehoods coming from our screens.

I read once the actual worst year in history was around 536 when they had the plagues, volcanos erupted, political chaos, famine, extreme weather n even a mysterious fog. One thought on this..our ancestors survived all this or we wouldn’t be here..👏ancestors.

There's quite a few removed from the Darkness of the last few centuries. Slavery, women's oppression, Holocaust, 24 7 wars. Countless other examples. Pretty dark. Being removed from that timeline isn't up to the whole anymore otherwise we'd still be in it.
