It isn’t negative to yell “Fire” if in fact the house is burning. The quicker Americans recognize how deeply corrupt the entire system has become, the quicker we can get about the work of fundamental course-correction.

IMHO, we need to elevate the role of the professional facilitator. Where are they? Why are they not helping us navigate these difficult to have conversations? Leaders, set the stage for the empowered people to move us somewhere. We have been chasing our tails too long.

a major problem is that each party believes that they should get everything they want with no compromise. that isn't how the process is designed to work. checks and balances are baked into it for a reason. and disagreeing on policy now means you're a bad person. sorry state.
