Good question, Marianne! "It was a mistake. It was mistake," Even the entire Iraq war is now called a mistake! 🙄 I think of a mistake as something like u accidentally park in your neighbor's spot or at worst in a disabled spot and get fined 200 bucks!

In 2000 the majority of the opium poppy production had been taken over by Colombia because the Taliban had wiped out the poppy fields of Afghanistan. After war began the poppy fields came back. 20 years of heroin sales adds up to some serious money.
