I predict something important will happen in Glasgow 11/ 5. Neoliberal establishment won't be able to get away with performative half-measures this time. They won't just be met by an army of "protesters;" they'll be met by the power & force of the desire for a survivable future.

I predict nothing substantial will happen 11/5 because while massive protests give those engaged in them a sense of accomplishment they have no effect whatever on those for whom the masses are an expendable "resource".

Your conclusion, while commendable optimistic, relies on the false premise—that those in the power structure have a conscience. They don't. Our only hope is that we can counter generations of conditioning and get people to understand they must all be replaced by legitimate means.
