He would do today what he did then: he would say to the “economic royalists,” as he called them, “I welcome their hatred.” And then he would stick it to them hard on behalf of the people of the United States.

Man y’all are tiring. republicans always romanticize reagan and “progressives” always romanticize FDR. They were both pos. Especially for blacks and minorities.
