This week alone Elon Musk's fortune grew by $36 billion, yet he goes out full blast to criticize a proposed wealth tax on billionaires. Kinda makes you want to tax him a whole lot more, doesn't it?

Did his fortune grow by $36bn? Or did the dollar just debase further so the nominal value appeared to increase by $36bn? None of this can be seen in isolation of Fed policies.

Very interesting logic from a bystander who is neither the billionaire nor tax collector, nor part of the billionaire鈥檚 workforce but maybe benefactor from both parties labor?Your comment sounds like a commentator who is not on the court playing the game of active contribution.

Nothing new about taxing unrealized wealth--my home property tax goes up every year, proportioned to my country tax appraiser's latest valuation of it. The biggest chunk of my property tax goes to local public schools. My kid graduated decades ago.
