This week alone Elon Musk's fortune grew by $36 billion, yet he goes out full blast to criticize a proposed wealth tax on billionaires. Kinda makes you want to tax him a whole lot more, doesn't it?

No, no it doesn’t. And that’s definitely not the statement of a responsible public representative.

Marianne , @elonmusk Elon Musk is doing so much for this planet in terms of preservation that even if his wealth grows , no one really should criticize it . Since he will be the first one to put it back if his vision is not fully materialize! @🌎💫🪐No one Can really claim this ?

The billionaires and corporations use the airports, shipping ports, roads, highways, bridges, electric power grids, water, air, etc; so they should also pay their fair share!

And there's all the governmental buckeroos his Tesla and SpaceX companies received for their development ... some stellar example of a grateful American with this one. 😡 newrepublic.com/article/1605…

How much did you raise for St. Judes in the last 3 months? How many people do you employ? Are you humble like him? He earned his $ worked hard for it.... He deserves it and so do his children!

He doesn't have the liquidity that you may think. If he'd try to liquidate his stocks, Tesla's stock would crash big time, as well as the S&P 500 & the market. So on paper he's filthy rich but he can't cash out 250 billion next month. But the gov wants to tax him like if he can.

Taxing unrealized gains is evil. Would you offer deductions for unrealized losses too?
