Jimmy (I mean Henry Olsen) of the Washington Post thinks its unconstitutional since an unrealized gain isn't income. But the inflation adjustment on a TIP is taxed as income even though you don't see the money until you sell or the bond matures.

I hate feeding the tax lawyers by introducing new complexity into the system but what can you do? I could probably come up with something better but no one is going to listen to me.

Maybe the same reason you point out billionaires are the problem and not the pols that continue to xfer wealth to the top and write the laws that make it possible? Why would pols bother taxing the rich after decades of making it that way? You act as if any of them care. Why?

Okay, so, imagine that the bank account is equal to the size of your penis, and you’re about 90% of the way into the mindset of billionaires.

Mw, billionaires spend millions on Democrats voting in local, state, federal government politics. Billionaires backed many DA's to help defund police & anti law & order agendas. Social networks, phone & on line Billionaires supported Biden & other democrats. Get your head out.

Where have all the genuinely good people gone? People who once said, because I am so lucky, because I have such privilege, I have to give back, i must give back, it’s what one is supposed to do with such abundance.
