I believe abortion is a moral issue but it’s a moral decision that should be decided by the individual woman and not by the government. Outlawing abortions will hardly decrease their numbers, it will simply invite back the scourge of botched abortions by which so many women died

Let's outlaw hunting and fishing as well. Surely all of life is precious and sacred. And what about plant life ? Should we stop killing the trees as well?

This was what I was up against in my decision, back in the late 80s. My situation was with a severe reaction from my immune system. I had a choice. Bedridden in the hospital for 5 months (at least), premature baby, long aftercare. Or be able to try again, wiser. Wwyd?

Outlawing abortion will reduce their numbers, actually, with many women forced to cast their rape-induced pregnancy to term.

Abortion is not a moral issue any more than a hysterectomy. We shouldn't be worried about what a woman does with her body, including terminating a pregnancy, until we stop killing fully grown adults.

Fortunately since Roe v Wade, we have ways to induce abortions with drugs. If the pharmaceutical industry can establish a network and produce the drugs to feed illegal opiate use, it can do it for abortion drugs. Doesn't solve the whole problem but it won't be as bad as before.

Moral issues are objective not subjective.
