The repeal of Roe v. Wade - and for all intents and purposes that’s what we’re headed for - will have deep & painful effects on this society. It will add a layer of stress & anxiety to the lives of millions of people at a time when more stress & anxiety is the last thing we need.

It’s also a gender rights issue - it burdens women only. I wish that the sperm donor‘s of the women denied abortions were forced to give blood every week for nine months as a way of making the situation more equitable.

Overturning Roe will be the end of support from a wide swath of Republican single-issue voters, who will no longer be driven to the polls for their single issue.

Dems purposely didn't shore up the many problems w RvW by passing solid legislation. Instead, they kept that rickety tricycle, RvW, wobbling down the road to use as a gun to the heads of women every election cycle!! Now their political triangulation is (again) costing lives!
Since I suspect Trump or someone worse will win in 2024, a fascist theocracy will take over. Roe will be gone, and I fully expect them to go after gay couples who have adopted or given birth to children, and take the children away. That's what fascist theocracies do.
