In case you missed it, the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans now own a record-breaking one-third of all shares of stock, and the richest 10 percent own almost 90 percent of all shares. Never in the history of this country has corporate wealth been more concentrated.

The stock market is realistically only available to the wealthiest 10% of people anyway. It’s not normal, but the stock market itself isn’t normal.

Unfortunately that's the ultimate goal of the system. The ultimate goal of the system is to obtain as much capital as possible. It's not ethical, but it is normal in our system.

Competition and the boom bust cycle causes capital to concentrate into fewer and fewer hands over time. The weak fail and sell out to the strong. It's not an aberration, it's totally predictable and expected under capitalism
