As a nation we are are off course economically because we are off course morally.

The problem is morals are subjective, what one person finds moral another doesn't. What one person sees as freedom another sees as dangerous. Corporations do not have morals because they are tools. You would not expect a hammer or a pair of scissor to have morals.

Economic injustice is a moral issue. Preemptive war is a moral issue. Unfair taxation is a moral issue. Racial injustice is a moral issue. Destroying the planet is a moral issue. It’s a big mistake to not contextualize progressive issues within the context of a moral universe.

Only failure to correct an immoral system can follow the economic determinants; we never had a moral economy.
