To change from a war economy to a peace economy; from a dirty economy to a clean energy economy; from an economic to a humanitarian bottom line. These things are not utopian ideals; they are the only survivable option for the human race.

in the interest of clarity, what do you mean when you say transition from an 'economic' to a 'humanitarian' bottom line? does that mean no concern about actual profits? and if money doesn't make you happy why should we be giving it away?

I’m all for righteous commerce & fair profit but our system now rewards unfair commerce & unfair profit. We need decent regulations, fair taxes, end corporate subsidies, end CEO stock options, Med4All, free college, end student loan debt, raise min wage, pro union legislation.

business operates by the rules set by Congress. your second sentence is a cry for free goods and services which is antithetical to 'fair' commerce. why is there never any hint of transactional exchange on the Left? always giving something for nothing hardly seems 'fair'.

Other countries have a good start on putting the well-being of people, animals, and the planet ahead of profiteering. We should too! Make our policies align with our values. #GNHUSA
