Saying we shouldn’t cancel the college loan debt because it would be unfair to the people who already paid theirs, is like saying we shouldn’t legalize marijuana because it would be unfair to the people who served prison time for it. It’s ridiculous.

And selfish.
Or that people who bought their cars on sale should pay the same amount ($) as people who paid full price a year earlier.
It’s a raw response to the guttural & psychic pain of deep financial debt and control. It’s not ridiculous. It fucking hurts. Also, private loans don’t qualify for debt relief. I’ve spent my whole career at non-profits. Gladly. But, let’s make some real sense or fuck it all.

They actually gather in smoke-full rooms and make up these bull s**t and people in the media repeat it like " that was smart".
True. Though I honestly think people who served time for marijuana should get a fat check. Likewise, if people are gonna get their loans forgiven, I think we should cut a check for paying them, especially with those high ass interest rates. Lastly, cut a check for reparations.

Generalized argument against progress. 'We shouldn't use water pipes because it is unfair to the people who walked to the well.'

yeah I was in a car accident, if there was some way to eliminate car accidents, I would not feel slighted. infact I would be happy because that shit is scary and I want people to be safe. its just a cop out because the student loans some how benefit him.

Non Sequitur but have you noticed while marijuana is being legalized many of those POC’s are still suffering in jail for crimes now no longer crimes.
