Saying we shouldn’t cancel the college loan debt because it would be unfair to the people who already paid theirs, is like saying we shouldn’t legalize marijuana because it would be unfair to the people who served prison time for it. It’s ridiculous.

Like let’s not overturn prohibition cause others had to suffer under it

I don’t think paying off college debts is a good thing. Encouraging people to attend cost effective schools makes sense to me. In most cases - college is not even worth the money that’s spent on it.

I don't see the correlation ... this one is a swing and a miss. Better luck next time.

Let’s pay for it by taxing pundits whose espouse this policy. 97% wealth tax.

It’s a bad precedent. These are legal agreements. We’re going to just “cancel” legal agreements? Instead, give grads the means to pay them back with a #UBI..

So the colleges are going to cancel what’s owed to them ??? Why are they never ask to lower their prices so people don’t have to go in to debt .You always want to put it on the backs of taxpayers . My house payment is a burden to me , you going to cancel that as well?

Classic 'divide/conquer' technique, get all the people who did something bad already like pay insane student loans which shouldn't exist to hate people who haven't paid yet, it is like calling someone a 'taxpayer' like taxes pay for anything, when they just 'print' FREE money

Cancelling debt punishes smart people who chose not to go to college while their peers racked up debt for degrees that weren’t worth it. It’s like bailing out banks—you’re teaching people to risk more, even when the real world market is howling that the risk doesn’t pay off.

Must like all consumers paying higher prices on the price tags for things unaffordable to strapped in debt & cannot buy or spend money perhaps🤔 Idiot's just don't understand 🇺🇸 economy & the effects/punishment when we spend less should go back to college or attend eco/course🙄
