It’s always moving to me the way Bernie fights for dental care, hearing aids and glasses for older people. It’s so important. Younger people might not always realize how much not having those things keeps millions of people from being able to engage with life in a meaningful way.

Furthermore those who spent many years of their life working/contributing to society deserve to spend their Golden years cared for by that society.

Lol... the young ppl that have nothing need to think of the needs of the old ppl who stood by for 50 years and allowed pols to strip everything from everyone for their profits (and continue to). Love your optimism but it never squares with reality.

I'm middle aged. I've had tinnitus & hearing loss for more than 15 yrs, & I've needed a new eye prescription for 5 yrs. Haven't seen a MD about those problems bc of the cost. Expanding Medicare isn't enough. @BernieSanders moved to the right leaving me & others behind. #M4A

If Medicare's dental insurance is like private healthcare insurance coverage, it's not much, if any better. Private insurance still requires out-of-pocket costs and doesn't cover many procedures dentists tell you that you need. Same is true for eye care.

Unlike the billionaires who get rich others efforts, seniors contributed their own money (from wages) into SSI/medicare their entire lives so they could retire with dignity & health. Govt has no problem handing our retirement over to pharma & insur execs instead of us.

Bernie could have organized progressives to vote no on the Pentagon budget until M4A was passed. These crumbs to seniors won't even go into effect for 5 years. I see this as a major fail on progressives part.

I guess, but that fact that we are struggling for even that basic level of care among only a subset of the population indicates just how barbaric our society is.

100%! I’m so heartened by the tremendous support Bernie got from the younger generation though. Too bad the alll the rest of us couldn’t have followed in their footsteps.
