It’s always moving to me the way Bernie fights for dental care, hearing aids and glasses for older people. It’s so important. Younger people might not always realize how much not having those things keeps millions of people from being able to engage with life in a meaningful way.

So true. These things are so needed.

And couldn’t even get that done.

Bernie doesn't fight for those things, he fights to steal more and more money from the population. There has never been a spending bill too bloated for him. He is perfectly happy spending our kids and grandkids into oblivion and straping them with the bill.

Who would be against giving seniors those things?! Dems need to join Bernie in this. It’s such an easy sell! Sinema needs to stop taking big pharma $ and start working for the people.

It’s our jobs to create a government that makes people’s lives more meaningful even if it means massive social engineering? But when and where does it end? After we become Greece? If we lose our position of world leader who keeps N Korea, Russia, Iran in check, the UK? Think.
The sad thing is most of them call him a socialist commie ..

It's a shame societies always have to ask for basic, humane support from the State. It was the deal between us and the State that they would have authority; and in return, we get a livable society. The corporate take-over of gov'ts has made that deal much harder to realize.

Also, I’d encourage anyone to think about how we prioritize success in this economy for the “working age population” (20-50), and whether the model only suits neurotypical people with an upper middle-class anxiety. See below (likely not Oprah-approved): vox.com/the-goods/22673605/u…
