It’s always moving to me the way Bernie fights for dental care, hearing aids and glasses for older people. It’s so important. Younger people might not always realize how much not having those things keeps millions of people from being able to engage with life in a meaningful way.

You’re 100% right and I’m not trying to take away from that but plenty of young people also have dental and vision issues (and hearing issues too, to a lesser extent). I’m almost 30 and I’ve been wearing classes since I was 9. I wouldn’t be able to do anything without them.

How out of touch are you, @marwilliamson? Younger people also go without dental care, hearing aids and glasses. Nobody, even those with insurance, can actually afford co-pays and deductibles well enough to get any but emergency medical care. We're all too poor for care.

Younger people don’t have these things either. Do you know how many of my peers don’t have dental care and swallow the pain because they can’t afford to go to the dentist? Which is why we need universal healthcare which includes dental/vision. Young people aren’t the problem.

I'm quite intimate with my mortality, and perhaps younger generations are naturally more intimate with their mortality at younger ages than older generations. In fact, I'd put money on it.
