No. The problem is that a handful of unelected bankers want to dictate policies for every nation on the planet. If that isn't totalitarianism, Marianne, then what is? Who elected Larry Fink? China doesn't let him call the shots in China.
The biggest global enforcer is BlackRock. They manage almost one-third of the world's assets and make demands of government. China refuses to let Western financiers like BlackRock into China.

This is why recycling as an individual is a fool's errand. Yes, I can "properly" dispose of the ten plastic bottles I use in a week, but meanwhile Coca-Cola has produced 500,000 more.
