Alexa, How can the government completely destroy the American economy? @ian_mckelvey @ThatAmish1
If they gave $2k/mo. til Covid ends, raised min. wage, passed Med4All, gave free college & cancelled the college loan debt, they’d be sailing to an easy victory. They’d rather lose then repair the fundamental economic injustice now built into the system. nytimes.com/2021/10/08/opini…

I prefer Santa Claus to the Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Actually I’m quite serious. We have got to stand up to this idea that treating people well is economically irresponsible, while those who perpetuate a dangerously unjust corporatist agenda are somehow the mature adults in the room.

It’s all of our money! And right now Congress is a system of legalized bribery where corporate donors are basically buying votes all the time. THAT is what’s wrong.

All of our money? I don’t think so. The ones who paid into the system, i.e. the ones who work - it’s their money. This is the problem with the left. They do nothing to contribute, but then they expect to receive all the benefits.

Your suggestion doesn’t change this. Actually, you would still have corporate vote buying as well as political vote buying, doubling the problem…..Start with an end to lobbying and work from there.

Where is the check with my cut for your publishing contract?

It's not everyone's money...it came out of the paychecks of those who actually work for a living, apparently to support those who want to sit on their lazy asses and do jack shit. Grow up and lay off the meth.

No. Its seriously not. We are not a bee hive. We are individuals and taxes should never be used for pet projects that bankrupt the country and drive us into a dictatorship
