I’ve had some success in my life & I’ve analyzed things present in each case. #1: Someone helped me. #2: Someone helped me. #3: Someone helped me. The notion that it’s wrong to help people is so immoral & mean spirited. Never applied to the rich by the way, but only to the poor.

Yes! But God helps those who help themselves.

You’re right. I agree with that. But once we’re helped, He also expects us to help those who are having a harder time.

No one is saying it’s immoral quiet the opposite. What is immoral is to think you have a moral duty (or through government coercion) to force others to do what you think is moral.

I would agree with that. But we’re not talking about forcing people to do anything. We’re talking about how we spend our tax dollars.

Altruism is noble, forced altruism is evil.

That every human being on the face of the earth that has ever lived or will ever live must be born & then raised is the incontrovertible proof that every single human being at some point will be in need of direct & indirect societal mercy & assistance—each at each’s mercy.

The world at its best, lifts one another, teaches, shows compassion, collaborates. Together we build roads and bridges but also, together, we create safe spaces to grow. #teachlove

We should all help each other. The Government today is run by our intelligence agencies and major corporations, not the people we elect. The Government no longer helps anyone who actually needs it.
