Correct.
So let me get this straight: we can afford to spend $700 billion a year on defense, but we can’t afford to spend $350 billion a year to defend ourselves against the climate crisis?

We can’t afford to spend $700 billion on defense or on Biden’s multi-trillion dollar plans. We have $28 trillion in national debt (over 100% of GDP) and a projected $2.1 trillion deficit. Reckless spending on one does not justify reckless spending on the other.

If fighting the climate crisis means subsidizing burning wood chips for fuel i am out.

Correction. We can’t afford any of it. The federal budget is a ponzi scheme. We have to borrow more money to pay the interest on the money we owe. What we spend it on is immaterial unless we quit spending ourselves into oblivion. @RBReich

Meanwhile we should be spending 1.5 trillion per year on climate change. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The world is upside down!

The climate change expenditure would be pointless whereas the national defense budget is not. Pretty simple really.

Incorrect. We can't afford either one.
