This needs to be shouted from the rooftops.
A catastrophic failure of US journalism and politics is that something like Biden's 10-year, $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill is not called a $350 billion annual bill...but the Pentagon's budget, which will exceed $7.5 trillion over a decade, is called a $750 billion annual bill

I agree. Except that it's not a failure. It is done on purpose with the active collusion of various media outlets down to the level of the journalists hoping for career advancement or even future careers in high end PR firms. The framing doesn't get that uniform otherwise.

Bernie pushed back on that framing and so should everyone. I would argue during the campaign the pushback should have been harder and more consistent than it was. Media PR framing is not an unstoppable juggernaut.

Manchin himself supported $4 trillion paid for over 10 years. He voted for both budget resolutions.

Media seems to skew right to protect the feelings of republicans. Right wing media is just batshit crazy. It seems like the entire left is left out of the narrative.

I realize inflation doesn’t really impact people with bank accounts that look like yours, but it’s common sense the more we print $, the higher inflation goes, which effectively taxes the people you say you want to help.

Media serves their Billionaire advertisers, not society.
