Voted no on wasteful defense spending. When so many families in MI13 and across the country are struggling due to the COVID pandemic, it simply makes no sense that we are authorizing even more than @POTUS requested. We have to do so much better on behalf of our communities.

Replying to @RashidaTlaib @POTUS
Cutting military spending is a bigger deal than just saving money that could be used to improve life here at home; it’s also refusing to spend money that’s used to destroy lives in other parts of the world.

Or refusing to subsidize what is an already extremely profitable business
Thank you Marianne Williamson for your clear articulation of truth. Yours is the humanitarian voice that is needed at this moment in history. A voice that extends throughout the world…A voice of justice, compassion, love, integrity, and mercy for all sentient beings.

Then why did you vote for neoliberal @joebiden??@TheDemocrats
The House just passed a $778 billion Pentagon budget, 316-113. Over twice as many Republicans voted against it than Democrats
You're right ... It's not just about money ... It's about us ... the American People ... and what do we choose to make important!

In economics there used to be a debate about buying guns or butter 20 years ago. The hysteria of the War on Terror has allowed the #MiltaryIndustrialComplex and the wealth redistribution policies to impoverish the working class. statista.com/chart/16878/mil…
This is using money to save lives

True Marianne! + it's also used to destroy lives here at home! most can't adjust to life in a civil society after spending decades in a war zone. Upon return, they start having serious mental issues, some even shoot themselves.
You can use the words: to KILL innocent people... it is about time the courts investigate about EVERY LIFE lost and who paid and approved funding for those weapons
