3/ Either oligarchy & corporate money, or the will of the people, will rule this country - but it can’t be both. We need a political miracle to break the chokehold of the corporate duopoly now strangling our democracy. Anyone who doesn’t see that is not a realist.

In terms of money dominating the system, it was never this bad before SCOTUS said money is free speech. Then the Citizens United decision in 2010 gave corporations unlimited power to use their money to influence elections.

This argument deserves a thorough examination. Speaking broadly, the American experiment is underpinned—if not funded—by capital, ex taxation of the workforce. Perhaps it was not so immediate, yet it remained material—a la Civil War. Absolutely, you are right.
