1/ The system we’re looking to to fix things is the system that made things this bad. Every time it does something good, the progress made is swallowed up by some result of its inherit corruption.

2/ Until we get the money out of politics, we’ll be tyrannized by an aristocracy of corporate power that at this point dominates both political parties. Today’s GOP takes us into a total nosedive, the Dems into a managed decline.

3/ Either oligarchy & corporate money, or the will of the people, will rule this country - but it can’t be both. We need a political miracle to break the chokehold of the corporate duopoly now strangling our democracy. Anyone who doesn’t see that is not a realist.

As always, Marianne Williamson's posts reflect clarity and a deep wisdom that is lacking in most of our political leaders in both parties.

Blaming “The system” is a convenient way to absolve the actual people who have perverted it from any accountability. Maybe it’s the people to need to be fixed, and not the system?

Thank you again and again, Ms Williamson, for calling it what is it... corruption.

Any “good” out of Washington is an accidental byproduct of an effort to feed the political machine, enrich a politician and or a donor, support the permanent bureaucratic state and comes at hidden costs that “Joe Public” must bear or pass down to his children.

Is it the fault of corporate and wealthy interests that legislation is for sale or is it the fault of the 2 parties that auction it off? Both political parties are the gatekeepers. Both have sold us out. Both are equally guilty.

It's in the DNA of the solution. We never REALLY get to the root of the problem.
