Replying to @MarshaBlackburn
Give me a break, Senator. She wanted to know someone was going to make sure a madman didn’t set off a nuclear war just to help himself win an election.

The ends justify the means. What a disappointment to see you say this.

I am now wondering is there a gas leak in your home? If these allegations are true, Milly broke the chain of command. We have a chain of command to prevent exactly this scenario. Sounds like the General got to big for his britches.

Trump helped 5 peace deals in the middle east, killed terrorists with minimal damage, avoided war in Syria that YOUR PARTY was clamoring for, improved relations with North Korea.... yet you slam him because of partisan reasons. Department of Peace? Give me a break

So if he made the same decision today, decided that in his opinion ,it was in the best interest of the country you would be fine with it ?
There was absolutely no reason a nuclear war was a thought. Let alone the fact it is not just a President pushing a button. This idea that he was a madman is unwarranted and just a narrative created.

good intentions aren't a reason to abandon civilian control of the military though, it's a bad precedent. with all the talk of meaningless norm-breaking under Trump this is one that really matters.
