Not only should insulin be affordable (or free), but food products filled with chemicals that we know cause diabetes should be heavily regulated. Our food system is as corrupt as our healthcare system.

Dead on. I blame the American Medical Association for not even TRYING to target poisons in our food, and our government for limiting FDA's charter to ACUTE illness. In Europe, Universal Healthcare means EVERYONE pays, so food is regulated, and HEALTHIER. So Big-Biz opposes it.

Nome of this will ever change until we start valuing morals over profit. The number one cause of all our problems is an economic system that promotes profit over human beings, and rewards the worst people among us. The idea of perpetual growth has pigeonholed our entire species

High fructose corn syrup is the number one dietary cause of both diabetes and obesity. It is a lethal sweetener, NOT a sugar, and does nothing to metabolize into energy.

How about we just let the government decide what and how much we are allowed to eat. Best way to keep us all healthy.
